Challenge
The SOS Children’s Villages Uzbekistan association needed a website that explains its work in plain language and helps people and companies support children: describing its programmes, showing where it works, publishing news and accepting donations.
Solution
We built the site in a light blue palette with bright accents and large photos of children and families. The main blocks of the home page:
- A hero slider with a call to support children and a contact button
- About the organisation — who we are, the idea, official documents, the organisational structure and media coverage
- What we do — alternative care, child rights protection, support for young people, projects and family strengthening
- A map of the regions — an illustrated map of Uzbekistan marking where the organisation works: Khorezm, Samarkand and Tashkent
- “We in numbers” — animated counters
- News — cards with the organisation’s latest stories
- FAQ in collapsible blocks
- Partners — logos of government, international and public organisations
- Donations — a section for individual and corporate donations, charity boxes, a “Support” button in the header and a pop-up banner
- Vacancies and contacts, plus a language switcher and social links
On phones the navigation opens in a slide-out menu and the blocks fall into a single column.
Result
- A clear site that explains the organisation’s work and how to help
- An easy path to donate from any page
- News, partners and regions in one place
- A responsive version for phones
